A St. Petersburg resident is in the final four as CBS's The Amazing Race heads to the finish line Friday. A watch party at Ferg's Sports Bar will have finalist Hayley Keel on hand along with past contestants. Keel, 28, a pediatric emergency nurse at All Children's Hospital, was one of 10 contestants who met their partners on the first day of the race around the world for $1 million. They are among the four remaining teams that will race from Peru to Dallas for Friday's finale. She and her partner, Blair Townsend, a Navy doctor from Amelia Island, will be hosting the watch party. Other eliminated couples from around the country will be joining them: Bergen Olson and Kurt Jordan Belcher; C.J. Harris and Lebya Simpson; and Tampa's own Jeffrey Weldon, who also was paired up on a "blind date" for the race and was eliminated in the sixth episode. Also, expect appearances from past Amazing Race couples, said Eddie Peters, Ferg's event coordinator. The party starts at 7:30 p.m., and the finale will be shown at 8 p.m. on the Ferg's patio, 1320 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. — Robbyn Mitchell, Times staff writer
